OVERVIEW

Welcome to COSMOVA. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to COSMOVA. COSMOVA operates this website and offers in-person perfume-making workshops and related experiential services (collectively, the “Services”). Our website and checkout are powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide these Services to you.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in our Services. Please read them carefully, as they include important information about your rights, responsibilities, and limitations of liability.

By purchasing a workshop ticket, attending a COSMOVA workshop, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

SECTION 1 – ELIGIBILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

By participating in our Services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering for a workshop.

You are responsible for your own conduct during the workshop and for following all instructions provided by COSMOVA staff.

SECTION 2 – WORKSHOP EXPERIENCES

COSMOVA offers guided, in-person perfume-making workshops. During each workshop, participants create a custom fragrance using provided materials and take home their own finished creation.

All workshops are experiential in nature. Individual results may vary based on personal preferences, technique, and participation. COSMOVA does not guarantee specific outcomes, scent longevity, or personal satisfaction with the final creation.

SECTION 3 – REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

Workshop registration is confirmed only after payment has been successfully processed. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration at our discretion, including in cases of suspected misuse, safety concerns, or violation of these Terms.

SECTION 4 – REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

We understand that plans can change.

You may request a full refund up to 7 days before the scheduled workshop date. Refund requests made within 7 days of the event date will not be eligible for a refund, as materials and preparations are finalized in advance.

Once a workshop has taken place, no refunds will be issued, including for no-shows or late arrivals.

If COSMOVA must cancel or reschedule a workshop, participants will be offered the choice of a full refund or transfer to a future workshop.

SECTION 5 – WORKSHOP WAIVER & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By purchasing a ticket to or participating in any COSMOVA workshop (“Workshop”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation in the Workshop involves the handling and use of fragrance materials, including but not limited to alcohol-based solutions, essential oils, aroma compounds, and related tools. These materials may cause allergic reactions, skin sensitivities, irritation, or other adverse effects.

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and acknowledge that you are solely responsible for knowing your own allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions. COSMOVA does not provide medical advice and makes no guarantees regarding individual reactions to fragrance materials.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless COSMOVA, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, injuries, losses, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to your participation in the Workshop, including but not limited to allergic reactions, accidental spills, misuse of materials, or failure to follow instructions.

By completing your purchase and checking the required acceptance box at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this waiver and release of liability.

SECTION 6 – PHOTO & MEDIA CONSENT

By attending a COSMOVA workshop, you grant COSMOVA permission to photograph or record the workshop for promotional and marketing purposes, including use on our website, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.

If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify COSMOVA prior to the workshop, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

SECTION 7 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All workshop content, instructional materials, branding, logos, text, images, and designs are the intellectual property of COSMOVA and may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Participants retain ownership of the fragrance they personally create during the workshop.

SECTION 8 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website and checkout are powered by Shopify, and certain features may rely on third-party services. COSMOVA is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.

SECTION 9 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

COSMOVA uses Shopify to process payments and manage workshop registrations. All workshops and experiences are provided directly by COSMOVA. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of the workshops or participant experiences.

SECTION 10 – DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

All Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” COSMOVA makes no warranties or guarantees regarding outcomes, results, or personal satisfaction with workshop experiences, except as required by law.

SECTION 11 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, COSMOVA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in a workshop or use of the Services.

SECTION 12 – INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless COSMOVA from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your participation in the workshop or violation of these Terms.

SECTION 13 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which COSMOVA is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

SECTION 14 – CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
